AT Pro issues?

I just think it's funny you make grammatical errors and point out others mistakes. I own two propointers and a ace 250 so I figure I can post on the Garrett forum. You are a little over the top.

I gotcher grammatical error. opie unloaded a lot of erroneous crap about the atpro. I just wanted to set the record straight for people that need good info. The atpro guys know what I'm saying. You and opie dont. That's my angle. I just ate ten snickers bars and vomited it all in the crapper. If you got something to offer about the pro, let us have it. It is clear that you have nothing to offer on this thread other than attacking. That's okay I can take it and dish it out too. Regards, gleaner.

What does (gotcher) mean?

My new ATPro just crapped out on me. I really like the machine and have been finding some deep targets. Mostly clad but I did find a 1940 penny 8 inches deep. Anyway, it was acting strange today, I had found a pocket knife and a few clad coins. While checking a target it made a strange sound, one I had never heard before and the screen went crazy with all kinds symbols jumping around. I turned it off, then it wouldn't power back on. Changed the batteries and tried again, nothing. While taking to Garrett on the phone, I tried to turn it on again. It came on but with the funny symbols jumping around. I turned it off and couldn't get it to power back up. They are sending me a new one. Anyone else have this happen ?

To start the depth reading on my ATP is always 2+ inches deeper than it is (even when scuffing the Ground)
I have dug dozens of Qtrs at reading 8" most are 5-6 " A few at reading 10" hard to find but prob. at 6-7"
Remember //// you gotta be patient with the Pro it will start off with a junk signal then wiggle onto a good one//
I have 707 coins so far this summer (hopeing for 1000 but ??) I'll bet that 1/3 of them started with a junk signal //
Qtrs are another matter// the ATP says 84-86 --ITS a Qtr-99% --except for the F*&#@ing flattened can at 8 inches Perry

as with all machines...no two are really the same.the important thing is you have it figured out.my atp will call a qtr at 85-87 most of the time.if you are running at full sens setting it could explain it.one bar below max gives me the most stable and reliable readings.also after pump balancing manually lower gb number by 5.

Yeah something very wrong there. You could try removing the batteries and holding down the power button for 10 seconds... but it sounds to me like a surface mounted component popped partially off the board.

They sent me a new machine in just a few days. I found a silver 1934 quarter the first time I used it !

I pinpoint quick before digging just to get an idea of size. I avoid anything the size of a can if I am in a slaw field! Those cans are everywhere here!
