Thanks everyone for the kind words...I don't think I have ever taken a photo that I was satisfied with but I enjoy photography anyway. Merry Christmas everyone.

Here in rural Mexico, a few years ago, my wife let the thistles grow, and we had a zillion swallowtail butterflies buzzing around them. We learned they come in two colors, yours is only one color. Then, her uncle told her thistles were considered a troublesome plant, so no more butterflies.

We have several different species of swallowtail butterflies in Tennessee. I like butterflies they are beautiful and tolerant of having their photos taken. Here are a few of the different ones we have.
