Great digs ! Those bottles are neat and so is the teardrop. I like the site pic also....lucky you!

Gypsy, I am no bottle expert but would you know what the two matching bottles were used for? No writing exists on them but the top looks like it just uesed a cork stopper? No threads in the glass for a screw on type lid. Maybe it was the cure all { 100% alcohol} elixar the traveling salesman sold off the back of the wagon! Lol.

You are right....common medicine bottles.....I dig them all the time and the paper labels have worn off......I was actually thinking of buying some old labels to put back on the bottles I have......I just like any of the bottles that have cork or glass stoppers......

Good Finds ;) Yeap, more and more of these areas are DISAPPEARING. My favorite spot which is a unprotected battlesite about 1mile x 2mile is currently being planned for a old folks home, a strip mall and a condominium. TRAGEDY to ME!!!! IT breaks my heart for sure...to see the rifle pits and trenches and earthworks everyday and know that SOON, it will be GONE. >:( >:(....This plot has remained there since the beginning of American History and there are trees the size of Volkswagens because of this. Beautiful woods in which pre-colonial, colonial, and Civil War relics are found every time....To know that this will SOON be bulldozed over and FLattened for just another STRIP MALL makes me sick to my STOMACH!!!!! :-[ :'( It makes me very ANGRY >:( >:( >:( >:( And it makes me want to tell those city council people @#$%@$@^&#%$#$^@&#%#@#^#%$$@^@&%@ :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X THEY really have no since of history or pride or honor to do this to such an obvious plot of American History.

P.S. If this werent enough, a few years ago, they destroyed a Colonial Fort from 1779 used during the Revolutionary War JUST to put a golf course over it!!!???!?!?! These are the kinds of people that are ruining American culture and history!

I have seen a lot of bullets dug in lower Alabama but I don't recall seeing one of those teardrops.Really cool.

Those are some really awsome finds!

Those are Some Awesome finds. Glad you got to them before the bulldozers. I really like the bottles and buttons. I read somewhere that during the Civil War, it took the weight of a mans body in bullets to bring him down. That was because of the poor shots in the war. Can you imagine how many bullets are still out there to be found.

Again, Congrats on those great finds.
