Hey folks ..I got a couple messages about my avatar and what it was.
It's a drilled shark tooth tiger shark to be specific.
A Native American artifact from Florida

Those are just too cool and definitely on my Bucket List. I know someone who found one here in southern Ohio that is very similar to the one in pic #4.

I was one of the people that messaged you. I thought it was a point embedded in bone or something.

A drilled shark tooth!? Wow I never knew there were such artifacts. So cool. Are they rare?

Must get one somehow.

A necklace of shark teeth - it's very cool and rare! Congratulations ! Extremely successful hunt!

Thanks

I've also wondered about your avatar (nice!), thanks for the explanation. Now I wonder: necklace or weapon?

Did the Florida Indians make swords of sharks teeth like those of the Gilbert Islands and other Pacific islands? I'm aware that mesoamerican warriors used flaked obsidian "teeth" around the perimeter of sword and axe edges ... just wondering aloud.
