What state was this found in. Here in AZ they used similar looking hand axes for cutting agave and so forth. I cant tell from the photos if there is any wear, and its probably just natural. But it does look like its been burnt, so maybe a piece of fire cracked rock from an old campfire. Whether it was burned last year or 1000 years ago, I couldnt say.

Thanks guys...I just figured with the notch and groove all lined up and the tip being symmetrical like it was worked I thought it was man made. Love this site, learn a lot from all of you.
