my girl friend found a tag that says b & m Co 224 on it its round n has a decrativer outline of solid circles it came out of a field that a 1835 large cent so im thinking it dates mid 19th to early 20 century

Considering the probable time period, I'd guess a railroad tag from the Boston and Maine RR.

Sounds more like a tool tag or locker tag. Could still be RR related. Post a pic

Ha! Spike, I think you mean plunge in with a completely off the wall guess? You got that right, I have no real idea. While we're waiting for the picture, maybe a clue to the general area of the country might help too, say for instance is it near Massachusetts (the home of the world's finest baked bean!) or Maine?

kingston ny was where it was gotten no pics as gf kept it n doesnt have cam il work on them though
