back in business!

after 3 weeks i`m back on the beach..upgraded my beach hunter id to the 300 coil. but still not in the water. pretty scary hearing these stories about the new beach hunter 300`s filling up with water..so today i just searched the dry sand. found $1.02 clad and a engraved silver ring which turned out to read stainless steel inside >:(

..and stainless was spelled "stianless" to boot. :tongue3:

Just get in the water , if leaks make them fix it ... I hear that is a nice setup I wish you a lot of luck and loot to boot GUZZ :thumbsup:

There should be no problem with it leaking if it has the red gasket. Also when you change batteries and pull the cover off try to do it at home (shouldn't be a problem batteries last 40 hours) and rinse the cover real good before putting it back on. Any sand or grit may prevent the cover from sealing. I don't think I have had mine above water too much lol.

yea it has the red seal. thanks for the tip. also i didn`t buy a long scoop yet for the water..soon. good luck! :thumbsup:

Today i found my 2nd silver ring on the beach (disney mickey ring - marked 925)and $1.59 clad,a token & a nametag...3 hours hunting. starting raining and got soaked but thats good having a waterproof machine i guess..I saw 3 other md`s out there today not including me & my mother(fldaphne)..well until next time good luck everyone.. :thumbsup:
