Okay, so here are the rest of my finds from the cabin site last weekend....although it was hot, I just couldn't tear myself away from the site....I just kept digging and things just kept coming up....I dug up a couple of pieces of china, and they actually fit together, showing part of a makers mark...(any help on age, or maker would be great!) Next thing I dug was an odd piece of what appears to be brass that has been notched....any idea on what this was for? ( I have now found out that the brass piece was from a barrell tap, thanks Crusader!) I am still waiting to pull a bottle out that isn't broken, but for now got another two tops...I also dug up what looks like a sort of hanger for something...and I think it is brass...it has a loop on top, and on the other end, seems to have held something..also found this odd knob, perhaps from an old tractor? The last find of the day I almost feel was the best, but I am gonna need some help from the experts out there....I dug up what appears to be some sort of necklace tag, or decoration...I believe it is made from lead, and has a hole at the top....could this have been an necklace?? My last day of hunting was cut short by the heat, and tall grass....not to mention all the bugs! Hope to get back out there soon, after the area gets mowed...The last photo is from a park find from last week....it is a 10 ga. brass that dates from 1901...
As always, thanks for any help, and thanks for stopping by and taking a look...
