Well I ended up going back to the same permission to finish up the part of the yard that I missed yesterday. I was able to follow up the Barber quarter with a Barber dime! I also found a mystery silver coin. It is the exact size of a quarter, has a reeded edge, and is worn COMPLETELY smooth. I am going to guess that this was someone's lucky coin. I was also able to score several more old wheaties, a buffalo nickel and a silver Rosie. Finally, I found a piece of a spur. Does anybody know if the spur is military? Thanks for looking.

Well done on the 2 Barbers!
The smooth one look like it has a profile facing right.
I can barely make out slight features on it but I think the mystery shall endure. There just isn't enough on the coin for identification.

Very Nice!!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Spend $10 on some "nic a date" liquid from Amazon. (Works great on silver too)
Lightly coat both sides and I'll bet enough details eventually come through for you to identify it; albeit temporarily, as the details will fade.

I may look into that. I have shined a light on it and I am now 90% sure it is a draped bust but it would be nice to know for certain.
