Back to the 50's....................( 6 pics )
............yep, it's back to the 50's.....those of you who grew up in the 50's
should appreciate these..
Our church youth group decided to hold a fundraiser for
future activities and one of the next two evening presentations the
youth will donate the proceeds to a church member who was paralyzed
in a diving accident last summer.
My daughter Sandy dressed up somewhat like "Sandy" in the movie
"Grease" & was a waitress for our table this evening. Here she is before the show:

She also sang the song "Lollipop",
"Grease Lightning", performed the The Bunny Hop" & also did her
favorite "The Hand Jive" with other girls dressed in poodle skirts,
white bobbie socks & shoes of the era. For a 11 year old.....
she looked pretty sharp with the bows in her hair, etc.
Here's my son, Randy who played a bully in the program.....
similar to the scorpion leader who lost the car race in the movie Grease. Here he is getting all "slicked " up:

Here are the kids along with one of Sandy's best friends:

They were ready to go. Randy had his leather jacket, T-shirt,
blue jeans & his buddies on. He was a tough dude all right.......

OK, here's another one of the "tough" dude.....

OK, here's the last one. This one shows Randy & another youth
being "waiters" for another table:

We had about 80-100 folks attend this fundraiser & I think the kids
had just as good of time performing the jokes & songs as we did watching them.
This was a good learning experience. Although they have seen the
movie Grease, they thought wearing those styles of the day was
"different".......especially the shoes kids wore in the 50's.
Hope you enjoyed the pics.........see ya mark
