Yep I think a Musicians Collar or Cuff button Nana.
Not sure of age though.

It has a wire loop. Actually Pulls out

I guess Water resistant dosn't mean Water Proof
I had to point a Hair Dryer at it for a Few hours
to get rid of the water.
