Back to the Spanish Silver Pasture

Had a couple hours to kill today so I went back to the site I found the cut Spanish silver. Took it real slow and concentrated on the deeper targets. No Spanish but I did get an 1830s Montreal Un Sou token which is a first for me. It's in great condition and should clean up nicely. Also managed a couple decorative shoe buckle fragments which tells me I am definitely in the right area. A few doodads, a couple musket balls and two of the best tombac buttons I have ever found. Too bad they weren't engraved. Still more hunting to do here.

I'm confident that there is one more good find here. Tomorrow will be a combo bottle dig/detecting day. The bulls are in the pasture in the morning so I'll hit the bottle dump from 0700-0900 and then the field from 0900 on.

Isn't the night before exciting? I'm always so stoked to get out.. and then your blood starts pumping when you fire up the machine and start swinging... man, the other day as soon as we stepped in that field you could just feel it seeping with history.. I LOVE IT
