Baddbluff's CRH Log

Though I have cut back my searching substantially, the peer pressure was just too much! I decided to start my own log like many of you. And since I had a nice find recently, I figured now was as good a time as any.

A six box half search yielded few keepers, but I did find one diamond in the rough...

My second 1970-D. Pretty lil fella!

I also pulled a nicely toned '64 and my fourth Statue of Liberty commem.

Very nice, of the 6-7 commemorative halves i've found all but 2 were statue of liberty. the other two were the uncirculated centennial of the congress and uncirculated hald eagle commems.

Did $60 in nickels, CWR style on my lunch break today & scored 2 war nicks. That's a pretty good average!

Haven't done much CRHing the last several weeks. I was able to finally get a few boxes and I think I did okay...

Box1 - 64,66,67x2,68
Box2 - 67x2
Box3 - 68
Box4 - 64x2,66,67x4,68,69x2
Box5 - skunk
Box6 - skunk

Box4 was my best box this year. So far I only have 22.5 oz on the year - by this time last year I had already topped 100 oz! Can't wait to get some more.

Starting up my log after a 3 year hiatus.
Had some great finds over the last 3 years, but I'll just start reporting new finds.

Over the last two weeks or so, the finds have been pretty scarce:

Half box 1: skunk
Half box 2: skunk
Half box 3: skunk

$170 CWRs halves: 1966

Nickel box: a few 40s and 50s, no silver

$100 CWRs nickels: a few 40s and 50s, including a low mintage 1955P, no silver

$340 CWRs halves from two different banks: 1966, 1967x3

I had $130 in halves waiting at another bank, but didn't make it there in time. I was literally 10 feet from the door when I saw a bank employee lock the door at 4:58. :/

Got some halves coming next week- one last group before the end of the year.

Found a couple cool coins this week...

$100 in CWR nickels:

7 2009D

1 2009P - My first! It's ugly, but I don't care. Now I only need the '38S to complete my Jeff CRH set.

6 40s, including a '49S
4 50s that I kept for my books (found more commons that I just threw back)

No silver :/

And the sweet find: a 1910 Liberty! Nice VG coin with most of "liberty"

$50 in CWR cents:

7 50s
1 '29S
1 '17S! - nice Fine - fills a hole in my CRH cent folder nicely.

Thanks for these great posts. I really like the 1970 D half. I only found 2 of them in the 50+ years of searching.

Also found a couple interesting foreigns.
