Bank Bags? please help me out

Hello, i live in western pa, and i would like to know if anyone else around is crh'ing i cannot seem to find a bank that is very supportive of my hobby, and would like to know where would be the best place to find bank bags.

I am not in your area but Bank of America has always been helpful to me. Maybe you should set up an account with them and start ordering boxes from brinks.

Sorry for laughing, but that response from tanner was pretty good. You can find lots of general info on CRHing here. But nobody can really tell you where to go to get bags. If they knew and lived there, they would get them for themselves. CRHing has become more difficult due to less silver around generally speaking, so it's every man (or woman) for him or her self.

You might be in an area where fellow CRHers have used a "slash and burn" philosophy which led to pi$$ed off tellers who are not sympathetic to your cause. No way to tell.

Best way to CRH is to order boxes, or go to a bank and ask for hand rolled coins or what has collected in their coin counting machine. Best to call around first instead of driving from bank to bank and going in like a beggar scrounging for coins (at least that is how I feel going into random banks without knowing in advance if they have any coins for me). Also, best if you try banks where you have accounts first, since you are their customer and they will be less likely to give you trouble. Though many here buy halves from banks where they don't have accounts without any trouble.

You could just visit or call every bank in you area, ask "Do you have any full bags of coin, and if you do would you be willing to sell them to me? It also helps to say "and I promise that you won't see any coins coming back." Works sometimes.

Yes, promising not to give them back DOES help... A LOT. Tellers HATE to see coins coming in but love to see them going out.

Try all the banks you can find with coin counter machines and ask for bags!
