I went to my bank yesterday in hopes of buying some half dollars and finding some silver. Well $260 later, only clad and no silver at all.

The bank manager said i could get bank bags, sealed, if i wanted $ 1000. The bags are un rolled.

Any experences with un opened bags,

The manager said the coins were not all new, but old ones they just like to handle them in $1000 units.

Feedback please. the rolls just aren't working.

That is the neat thing about searching through halves.
The return on investment is enough to finance further purchases of bulk halves.
Last Friday I stopped at a bank branch I normally don't, and asked them if they had any halves in the vault. They brought out a plastic box with several hundred dollars in hand rolled halves, and I bought 10 rolls. They then asked me my name, and they wrote it on a piece of paper and put it on top of the remaining rolls in the box so that people will know I am coming for the rest I suppose. I did get skunked on them, but I am stopping by there again today, and will buy some more, until they have no more. As with other banks, they said they just collect dust, and they are glad to be rid of them.

I love armchair treasure hunting!
:)
