Bark at the Park

For lunch today I had bark. I was finally able to hit a play area at a playground by my work. There is usually a bunch of parents with their kids there at lunch time, but the heat must have kept them away today. I only had time to hit the bark areas by the playsets. Nothing earth shattering. Just some clad, two pieces of jewelry, and a goofy token. The earring looks so nice I may get my nose pierced and wear it myself.

In the short time I hunted, I was dripping sweat out in the hot sun. I hate this NC summer weather. :'(

Come on winter!

Oh yeah, the other goofball picture my son took of me while I was MDing at a canoe launch area in the NC mountains Saturday. My son referred to me as "Indiana GROANS".
Damn kids!

Dang, MM, you look almost normal in that pic. You ought to see me in the field with my knee pads on, my web belt with with the shoulder straps, fannie pack, M-14 ammo clip pouch, canteen, and digging tool sheath all attached, and wearing my camo Boonie hat. The ammo clip pouch is great for holding good finds, and the fannie pack gets the trash.

When we hit the mountains next time, we should ask around about local swimming holes. The last time I did that I came home with 2 gold rings, some silver coins and enough clad to pay for gas one way!

MM: Sweet earring. Very pretty! Nice clad, too. I was thinking you looked like a perfectly respectable MDer to me. I walk around with my digging hankercheif hanging out, too. But socks??

Yeah, I totally forgot I had socks hanging out of my pocket. I was going to MD in the river (shallow) and took my socks off, but I never did make it into the water. Next time I will though.
