Went out for a 35min drive to a farmer we are going to start this year to see how the harvest was doing. He had only done the rape which left 1ft think storks, we tried going on the tractor tracks but gave up.

On the way home we tried another barley field which has recently been done.

Did about 2.5 hours (5 man hours)

Only things of note was a bronze Roman/Medieval thingy & a 18th century cufflink piece with 2 hearts & a crown.

The evenings are light.

This year will be the second year without a holiday. When times get good & they will do soon, then I will take the odd day or two off & step it up a gear. We are just cruising at the moment.

Are you an antiquities dealer?
If not, you should be.

Yes, but I never sell stuff I find & the money is funding my future book.

Those finds all look great to me.

Once again great finds!! Does your Dad post his finds or do you post both togeather? Nice to have your hunting partner back I bet. Alot of us here would probably buy or at least read your book esp. if it pertains to your hunting adventures and finds; HH Tom

Dad only started detecting 10 years ago (after I had done it for 15+ years). I keep everything he finds (minus what we give the farmers). Therefore everything I picture is for both of us.

The book will not be on what we found but more specialist covering rare items which are under studied & unpublished.

I may do a lifetime collection book when I'm too old to go out.
