In 91, a friend took me to the Killdeer battle site..We were looking for burnside shells..Items found 6 tins from oysters, two clumps where artifacts were found..At Lee's site only cases, At my area, a 40 cal ball, a burnside tool, a case with tool markings, actually the lead with tool markings, another lead app 20 feet away shot into ground, no brass, and some sort of webbing made of copper, , that appears to have been ripped off something..I think this is the site where the two troopers were killed, third made it out..Need a Civil War character to identify items..May try and go back, have a new Fisher, 4th since T 20, still have with flyer..Have been around since 1961, was last sec'y for Raymond Dow's Treasure Trove Club of NYC..That club was 1938 to 1988.. Time flys.. I thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide, cordially Nadwodney(Nad)..Am trying to get a camera hooked up, also,if anyone knows the location of Leland Franzen , a lot of good info for the ND hunter
