I am having trouble identifying this button. Are there any experts that recognize this button?

Please post a picture of the back. If there are any words or letters that yo can read let us know what they are as well. Does the front read MoP? And, can you give us a general location where it was found?

Missouri Pacific Railroad? It’s not like the others of theirs that I can find though.

I found this button where the Battle of Springfield, Mo took place.

I cannot read the back but there is clearly writing on it. The front of the button says "Mo.P."

Thank you for solving my mystery. I was really hoping it was some sort of rare Civil War button but an old railroad button from the 1880's will have to do. I am still on the hunt for my first.
