Kinda like that song by the Monkeys, Pleasant Valley Sunday with "Charcoal Burning Everywhere" I lived in the Chicago suburbs in the early 60s and those where out burning in the backyards every summer weekend and yes the everyday pitmaster had a bottle of Pabst Blue Ribbon in the left hand and a long spatula in the right. One neighbor gave us kids a penny for ever cigarette butt, we could find up and down the neighborhood when he was out grilling. They were everywhere to be found back then.
