I went out on my road to a spot that I found this summer. I pulled many colonial buttons out of there. I took my 10 year old daughter to see a tree that the rabbits live in. She did some detecting with me while we were there. Found a great square nail. We restored it and she will take it to show and tell at school. On the way back to the truck was walking fast and detecting. I got this sweet seated dime 20 feet from the road and just under the leaves??? I knew with time and patients I would find a coin in there. This one is pretty nice, 1875. Also is a lead button, looks pretty old. A flat button with almost a complete shank. Here's a few pictures of the rabbit tree and my dime.
