wow i really enjoyed myself.
this was my first time back in the water since
got gold last thurs. about 7g 10k was est at $120 orso.
so i was tryin real hard here. once u find gold u instantly
start jonesing for more.figure where theres one......
i had thought this place was pretty well cleaned out
for targets ..not so.
the excal 2 i bought seems to be working better
and better as i use it. i dont know how this could be
its almost as if it was kinda rusty for lack of a better
term.
anyway i was digging deeper than before for sure.
this lake beach has added sand to a clay stone
bottom. its a man made lake anyway.
i concentrated on the rougher areas where not much sand is.
seems whoever else is hunting there likes to stay in the ez
sand.cause its tough diggin in the clay and then u have to walk
ur scoopfull to shore for target seperation because
it would take like 10 min to wash a scoopfull of clay.
my machine was workin good and i got some small junk
pcs. also that middle wire type ring has very little mass
and a beavertail.so i felt i was getting what was there.
four hours of hunting . eleven junk targets incl 3 lead
sinkers which are not shown as they were left prominently
displayed on the beach hoping a fisherman will recycle.
2.26 and a pair of sunglasses. no nickels today
wonder why? tested one ok.
the jewelry was all junk unfortunately. though the ring w the green stones look kinda old.
the back to back ladies charm is marked C PLAYBOY.
i had hopes they had some CLASS and it would be sterling
but close up inspection saw no markings so i guess they
liscense and just sell plated CRAP like everyone else.
the charm is still kinda cool .guys tend to like playboy
stuff so it just might be worth a couple bucks.maybe.
i love my new to me excal2. only thing is with discrim
on 1 im not getting any bobby pins. i guess it discrim them
out. i hate them anyway but wonder if im missing
real small stuff. i guess thats what a p.i. is for if u gotta.
sooo nice to have a day free of equipment problems yea.
i will keep looking for more GOLD GOLD GOLD.....
