I found this beautiful specimen in the woods on our property . I am not sure what is on the quartz . Im thinking maybe pyrite and copper ? It is not real flaky like I believe mica would be . IMG_0076.webpIMG_0078.webpIMG_0082.webp
 

Chalcopyrite or pyrite. Try scratching it with a knife. No scratch = pyrite.

Take a needle and poke it. If it dents, it could be gold. If it breaks or cracks. It's pyrite.

Gold, Quartz, and pyrite are found together sometimes in any combination. It could be half pyrite, half gold. Try a few different places on your item with a needle
