I recall this being discussed once a few months or so ago, but I think it bears repeating.....

The minting of the JFK general circulation 40% halves are (pretty much) bell shaped:

'65 - 65.9M
'66 - 109.0M
'67 - 295.0M
'68D - 247.0M
'69D - 129.9M
'70D - 2.2M

Though I haven't found a 70D yet, in the four months since I've gotten back into CRHing, all my other 40%er JFK halve finds have pretty much lined up with the percentages they were minted (found more '67 followed by 68D, 69D, 66 & 65).

Interesting.

Anyone else with similar results ?

I'd say that's pretty accurate as far as my finds as well. '67 & '68 are definitely most common, and I've not found a '70 yet. '65s were pretty uncommon for me as well, but in one roll I pulled out 4 of them, which was a surprise.

Mine fall in line with what you see Thurm. 67, 68, 69.....same as yours.

Still waiting on my first 70.....darn thing is very elusive!!

My finds follow just like yours, 1967,1968 and 1969 are the majority. The 1965 is found the least and I use to wonder why. lol I've already found 2 of the 1970 halves.

My numbers here are in line with everybody's. Still looking for th 1970 myself.
Prob. the most surprised was finding a 1976-s silver in fine shape.

Last night I decided to put all my halves into rolls by year minted. So I sorted them out in five rows. The length of the rows matched almost exactly the mintage figuers above, except I had a bit more 68's than 67's
