If you could only buy one reference book would you get "Plates and Buckles of the American Military 1795 - 1874"by Stanley Kerksis or "American Military Belt Plates" by O'Donnell and Campbell? The second book covers all buckles from the Revolutionary war up to 1910. My brother in Kentucky has the Kerksis book and I know it is good but I haven't heard anything about the O'Donnell/Campbell one. Does anyone here use it?
