My first day out after having foot surgery three weeks ago and I’m having to use a walker so my 13 year old grandson who always goes with me had to step up and step up he did! I was still in the garage when he said look what I got, he had a bag with silver plated items and some coins in the bottom of the bag. He said they are American and silver, I asked how much and he said he paid the guy $6.00!!! After looking at them I couldn’t believe it, 31 silver halves and 6 little salt and pepper shakers and one spoon. He has definitely been paying attention, I am proud of him! Who sells legal US currency for less than face value? Nice!

I buy "gold dollars" at yardsales almost every year for .25-.50

Wow.....that is awesome. Some Walkers in there too. You should check the dates.

They were in the bottom of a bag of silver plated items that I didn’t put in the picture. They guy pricing the stuff just glimpsed at the bag and said $6.00 so he whipped out his money and immediately paid!!

Yes, there are 5 or 6 walkers , I did not count them, the walkers were all in the forties, I took the pic with my phone, sorry it’s kinda blurry.

I would have taken it for gas money

Wow! Congratulations to your grandson. And all for $6.00. It sounds like he has a great teacher. Well done.

Congrats, your grandkid is going places! At this rate in 20 years he's going to be on top of the world.

If I knew at 13 what I know now, I'd be retired!

An intelligent opportunist, and only 13. Nice job.

How come I never meet people who want to unload treasure? Lol
Congrats to your grandson,, on a very sweet score.

At today's Silver melt value $16.60 that score was $180.12 your grandson did very well.
