Best $200.00-400.00 Detector?

Yea the at pro is a beast IMO for the price I paid 519 for a brand new one in the box

I don't have one but honestly the ATP is a hard to beat value for the price. they have a large following and it's also submersible to 10 feet. does well in fresh water and can be okay in salt water (some areas). If that's not important for you than there are several good detectors. It depends on where and what you are primarily detecting for. I use an older whites (49'r) and would consider this. I recommend watching utube vids to see what bells and whistles you like. for instance I cant stand the "bell" sound with the 250/350. works for some but not me. do you want a detector with ID numbers? etc, etc. pick one you're interested in and watch some demo vids.
