After spending months hunting a major road rip-up out here in Denver, it was finally completed, much to our great dismay.
We had all dug some great coins, as well as some real nice tokens. Scrambling around seeking new sites, we stumbled on a couple overlooked areas that seemed promising. Close to the original downtown street tear-up, was a several new projects, and we decided to check them out. A fairly large area had been torn up, and evidence of very old activity was showing up.

These are all from one month of hunting. A total of 16 different varieties of coins were dug, not counting anything new. ( Clad coinage, Zincs, etc.)
Dug my first 3-Cent, non-silver, a 1866. Of course the only coin I scratched was a very worn 1895-S Morgan, with only 400,000 minted.
Not shown are all the various relics, as well as a couple of silver rings, I'll post them later. Way too tired right now.

The rings were all dug in one small location, which was close to the original play area.

Plan to get the gold rings checked out, but the diamonds seem real, they really sparkle, and hopefully the rubies we'll be as well.

Enjoy.

Odd erosion patterns in the silver could be from using salt on the highways.

The rings are spectacular! Nice turn-of-the-century style settings. And at least one of the rubies looks not just authentic, but also pigeon's blood red, a preferred color.

WTG!

I was hoping the same, but all three ruby rings were synthetic.
The diamond ring is real, and getting cleaned and appraised.
Was told it should be close to a $1000.00.

Carl happy.

Dig any and all that beeps, fill your holes, take the trash with you, and mail me anything of value.
To be appraised, of course.
