best metal detector for under $220.00....

I have an ACE250 and want to buy my dad a detector for Christmas. Is there any other detectors out there in the $200.00 range I should be looking at? I guess the real question is what else should I be looking at besides the ACE250 to buy for my dad.

I would also reccommend the Tesoro Compadre. It is a great little machine for the money and it is backed with the great Tesoro customer service. Hope it helps.

F2 --$ 200 with 2 coils -- of course the ace 250 is nice for the money but since you own one you know about it already --

I would stay away from E-bay. Just because you will not get the service that you will get from a dealer.
