Best of Tonite's Hunt

Howdy All. Got out for a couple of hours with the significant other relic hunter to an abandoned 1905 school house site and found a few keepers:

Alcan 12 Shotshell
Peters 20 Shotshell
Pocket Watch Piece
1941 Nickel
1955 Wheatie
Unknown Vintage Cool Button

Not a bad hunt considering we have hit this site many times. Please let me know if you have any clues on the button. Thanks. C9

It might get even better for you! You might want to check the 55 wheatie a little better. If it is a double die it's worth over $1,500!

1955 penny - Google Search
1955 Wheat Penny Value | CoinTrackers
P.S. don't use any cleaners on it or you will destroy the value.
Try just a toothbrush and hot water.

Good luck & happy hunting

Hello Ace 350. You got my heart pumpin' there. Checked it again and sadly no double die on this one...oh well it's worth 10-cents according to my 2005 coin book. Hey that's 10 times the value...too right!! Thanks for the heads up and HH. C9

Hi Cambria,
Sorry to hear that it wasn't the coveted 55 double die.
At least its worth 10x it's face value!
And you got a double thrill from it. First when you got the signal and dug it and then when I asked if it was a double die.
That's a worthy find to me.
I love this hobby!
One of the guys on the forum just found one.
Check it out here:

Happy Hunting :occasion14:

Button is civilian blazer cuff button, reads "spectemur agendo", Latin for "let us be judged by our actions". Dates between 1950s and 1970s. I found one two weeks ago.

Hello raweddle. Thanks for the ID. When we first found this I thought it might be really old but after cleaning I had a feeling that it was fairly modern. C9
