I can not tell what kind of metal this is and do not know if it is real. The pictures are not very clear but the color looks like gold but rings different metal on my metal detector. Does anyone have any suggestions

I actually know what this is!! It's a coin from the game dread pirate, there's writing along the outside and it's cut in half, if you look at it closely it's dread pirate just sliced down the middle , I found one my first time out detecting and freaked out, but yeah I'm pretty sure that's what is. It's smaller than a quarter, if it were real it would be the size of a half dollar or bigger

But get it tested to see if it is gold I hope I'm wrong

Fraid' so... doesn't look right. Unfortunately, there are self-centered clowns out there who think nothing of planting fakes and getting amused watching others dig it. These people usually can be filed under the category of TRASH. BTW... I almost headed there yesterday but did not feel the weather action sufficient to warrant a 135 mile drive. But for your sake, I hope you prove me wrong and it is the real deal.
