Best yard sale find so far!!!

Went out biking yesterday afternoon, keeping an eye out for yard sale signs to hit up today. Found four sales all very close to each other, and went out early this morning to find some treasure! At the first sale, I got two old book,s a 1900 copy of Gulliver's Travels, and a 1931 copy of These 13 by William Faulkner stamped from the Syracuse University Library. The Gulliver's travel s in from Linwood School. It still has its checkout slip in it, and was last checked out on December 11, 1968. I also got a little battery operated radio and cassette player. Just thought it was to neat to pass up. The man the was very nice, and all the of those items were $1.00. At the next sale, I got a replica advertising sign for some shotgun shell powder. Tough someone might like to have it in there man cave. I also got an empty bottle of French lemonade. The sign was $1.00 and the bottle was $0.25. The third sale was a complete dud. He had very little stuff, and it was all outdated "as seen in TV" items. The third sale is where it got really good though! The husband wanted to get rid of most of his rock collection, and he was selling a huge box full of assorted rocks for $6.00!! I immediately got it! Hard work walking all of that home, but completely worth it when I sorted out all of the rocks. There were fossils, amethysts, crystals, a ton of geodes and two huge geode bookends! I will post pictures of the shotgun sign and French bottle as soon as I can.

Haha it just seemed kinda neat. Not worth anything, but then again, I really didn't pay anything for it. He just wanted to get rid of it.

books & rocks! now that's my kinda sale!!

& I have my Grampas old transister radio that he always listened to "The Games" on. It doesn't work & it's ugly as a catfish, but I love it! don't know about you, but those little radios were like a step from childhood to adulthood, or so we thought.

Yah I love those old books. The radio is a little hand help pocket one. When my dad saw it, he was like "Woah! Haha these were cutting edge back in the day!"
