Way to big for an arrowhead though.

JMO it looks to be a preform or the starting of a scraper.Great find I like that color:icon_thumleft:

Nice quartzite type of lithic and color. It is either a preform or a tool. I always like those types cause you have to really study them to try to find out what the use was.

yup not an unfinished arrowhead but some kinda unfinished piece
it doesn't look like it wood be very easy to flake

anyway it is interesting

...as usual...big THANKS guys! Nice to know that it is something and yes, larson...how did they flake it...maybe that's why it's "unfinished"...ouch!? So rock, you like to see things & study what they might have been used for...I'm going to post something like that now :)

Definitely worked, probably a blank or large knife or preform.

Hi, it looks like they started to make the arrowhead and did'nt finsh it. Its been out in the sun for a long time, heavy deser patina.

...uh oh...test time, pay back? lol....uh..pretty color! Kind of hard to really tell without holding it...from what I can see it almost looks more rounded on one side and flat on the other? The part that looks like a point isn't real "pointy" like an arrowhead type, maybe they were making some kind of scraper thing. Sorry, I'm still learning...what's a "blank"? "Hi" smokeythecat...meow :) Sorry rock, I'm probably all wrong....so what's your take on it please?

my take is a scraper or tool, the large pointy end would of been in a handle and the small pointy tip is a spur so the flat end would of been the working side of it. Could of been used in the hand also. Its unifaced

...scraper/tool thing....goody, I wasn't to bad after all. It is interesting trying to figure out what the "questionable" things are & used for....so thanks for the lesson rock :)

Its the only green cream color I have ever found. Id like to find more though, really like that color.

It just looks like what I would call a utilized flake, a quick scraper or cutting tool. I doubt it was ever halfted though.
