Got a new permission yesterday and it things went good, not a lot of hits or trash in the yard.
My first decent hit was a a 79-80, flipped a plug and had a 1817 Matron head. Sent the kid a text and he said he'd be ready in 20 mins. LOL
After we got back I had a good hit but, sounded like there was also iron in the hole, 42 Washington.
Five minutes later the kid gets himself a 1920 merc.
We found some wheats and a couple odds and ends, not a lot of trash or anything in the yard. I got a good 85 to 87 screaming hit but, sounded like it was straight under a huge root on the surface. Turns out it was laying between the roots just below the surface, another Matron head we think is a 1830 something.
While the kid was around the side yard I was out back close to where the two silvers came from. Got another screaming hit, 94-95. Thought for sure a piece of copper pipe or big brass piece. Flipped a plug and had a v-nickel in the hole. No way that v-nickel was throwing that signal off. Searched the hole again and still had that 94-95 hit.
Another look around in the hole with the pinpointer and BAM!! BIG Silver!! 1903 Barber Half...
Only other worthy find was a 1909-D barber dime the kid found.
Almost forgot, I found a cadet button with some Awesome gold gilt still on it.
