The weather here has been very mild allowing me to detect longer in the year than ever before. We normally have a foot of snow by now with sub zero temps. Friday was still a little chilly but I got out for a short hunt and scored the1919 S Merc and a couple wheats. Saturdays temps were in the mid 40s with sunshine and no breeze. I headed to a spot that has been giving up some oldies to see if it would continue the generosity and I'm glad I went there, my first target was a '39 Walker
. What a way to start a nice day. Got the 1892 O Barber quarter, the '01 Barber dime and a '24 Merc with a couple wheats by the time I called it a day. I headed back over there today to get the '12 D Barber dime, a '44 Merc, an '02 V nickel and 3 more wheats. The '39 Walker makes 16 silver halfs this year and this weekends silver brings me to 384 silvers for the season. I wish I could get out after work but by the time I get off there's only an hour of daylight left to hunt. Daylight savings time sucks!! Thanks for looking and HH.
