Big Roller Pestle.

Heres a big roller pestle, I recently purchased it is 15 inches long the guy I got it from said he
found it sticking out of the bank on the scioto river 20 years ago while he was fishing.It is in great shape for a piece this big. I got the piece for 100 dollars and I was recently offered 500
dollars for it. I think I might sale it just because it has no sentimental value to me because. I did not find it.and a 400 dollar profit is very good profit.

That is a dandy Roller Pestle choo. I have never found a whole one but I have found a few broken ones ironically all along the banks of the Ohio River. You say yours was found along banks the Scioto River so I wonder if there some correlation between these types of tools being found along rivers . Maybe they were used in clothes washing to squeeze excess water from the clothing??

Man Choo I do not know if I could sell something like that. Roller Pestles are so hard to find 100% intact like the one you have there. Not even a scratch. That will be worth alot more if you keep it!!!..........................GTP

Really nice artifact. It would be tough for me to sell that. I do not see them for sale that often.
