Re: Big run of used tesoro's on ebay

OH MY----Is this thing (thread) over with yet???? :P-----I'll just say---I have personally dropped off detectors at the Tesoro plant from time to time (as well as have sent them in) for minor repair, re-callibration, etc.---The ones I sent in, I got them back in a timely manner in the same box I sent them in.----The ones I dropped off at the plant without a box was sent back to me (on Tesoros nickel) and in a NEW Tesoro detector box---PLUS a courteous (detailed) listing of what they had received & explanation of the work that was performed.----PLUS, (even on used units), this was almost always done at no charge and the return shipping was always paid by Tesoro (on detectors that was purchased either used OR new).----I'm neither a dealer or a person that get's preferrential treatment from Tesoro---this is just the way they treat all their customers--excellent.-----Is that good service or what???----Second to none & the best in the business!!! IMHO-------------BERT

Bert you are so right. Some people just like to whine.

Re: Big run of used tesoro's on ebay

Not to reopen anything. I just have a quick question. Since these issues are happening within the first 30 days are the customers getting the required replacement from the dealer?

Hi CM! I don't disagree with you, and I don't care about an "individual's" honest opinion. What I do care about is SLANDER. I will start by saying I am an Arizonan, with great pride in my home State and the folks that live and work there. Tesoro, and the family that runs it, are Arizona to the core.

In Prescott, a handshake is better than a signed contract in the briefcase of a Harvard Law School graduate. I know the Service Manager at Tesoro personally. Rusty Henry has held that position for 20+ years. When a FISHER DEALER, gets on the TESORO FORUM, and starts making crap up about MY FRIEND, I am offended and angry.

I know Rusty, and if something isn’t right it does not get past his desk – period. I have met and had lunch with Vince Gifford, and met almost everyone that works at the factory in Prescott. This is a small, prideful company. The Americans that work there still take great pride in doing their best EVERY day. When something comes back for repair they take it personally, and seriously.

I chose the Tesoro Lobo SuperTRAQ, as the exclusive VLF nuggetshooter for Arizona Gold Adventures because it is built like a tank, it's easy for our students to learn and use, and it FINDS gold! I send in a dozen or more machines to Tesoro, at the end of our nine month gold prospecting season, for checks and tune-ups. I have been using Tesoro machines since the late 1980s. I have never had a problem or complaint with customer service, nor do I know anyone else that has.

Nope, PERSONAL opinion is a right and you shoot it on out there. But if you are going to make stuff up to boost your sales and trash another’s, then you deserve no quarter.

This is Rusty and me at his house, under Thumb Butte in Prescott. He is holding a 4-oz Australian nugget he detected.

Re: Big run of used tesoro's on ebay

That's weird.

I've seen BOTH people in the picture.

Do I know you from somewhere? I figure if Rusty has a shop in Arizona, I've been to it - so I don't really question that - and, if he's ever been at any of the gold shows, its a definite.

But, Terry - you look familiar too.

I respect your opinion, I just think that people are way too sensitive these days. You can't say anything anymore without offending someone. Remember it's free speech, not just speech you're comfortable hearing. In this particular case I think he should have complained about the issue at hand rather than trying to bring down the company as a whole. Tesoro has the best customer service, no way around it no matter how pissed off one gets.

Re: Big run of used tesoro's on ebay

I took a friend to a great taco place I ate at regularly...so what happens? He bites into a bone and chips a tooth. He never went back. In the meantime, I've enjoyed 50 or 60 more tacos. ok2raise is entitled to his opinion. Tesoro is GREAT....not perfect. And...it's too late for me...I'm already used to a light weight, well made treasure machine! While others are "adjusting", I'm finding and moving on to the next target and if he's anything like my friend, he's missed out on some mighty fine tacos!

First of all, we do not drop-ship anything. you buy from a distributor. If you recieved a new MD it came from a distibutor. We have never dropped ship.
