Big silver and doubloon cache

...mardi gras doubloons that is! Hey y'all I live on the mardi gras parade route and I hunted a 1948 house today and found all these doubloons. Darn things sound just like silver dollars.




I hate finding them but they're everywhere.....
But I did finish the hunt with some goodies Including my 33rd silver for the year. Woo hoo!

Nice finds!!! I would collect all the Mardi Gras coins and find an old trunk or chest to put them in!!!

What are the years on the doubloons? Some look kinda old. What about the Jefferson City Billiards, that one looks different? Seems they're all made of a hard plastic these days. Great finds on the coinage.

I dug one of those doubloons in Minnesota, and agree, it certainly sounded wonderful.

Very nice, I'm jonesing for some silver coins, we hunted a 1920 home tonight, no silver, no wheats. It is so hard finding virgin soil around these parts. Oh well, I'll keep searching, I have allot of areas that are going to open up as soon as we have that first frost. I will be back a few more times at that house, its not over yet.

Yeah, most are from the 1960s and 1970s
