Big silver yesterday

Hit a bank where they save halves and large dollars for me and when I went in yesterday, they had $27 dollars and $16.50 in halves. Halves were a skunk, but included in the dollars was this 1925 Peace dollar. A bit scratched on the obverse, but still a big piece of silver.

This is why we ask for large dollar coins! Too bad it got the scotch-brite pad treatment.

I still find it hard to believe those slabs make it past the tellers...all I ever hear is of their success stories.
