Black obsidian

So that thing I though was volcanic rock or just charcoal apparently is black obsidian. Does this have value? Can regular people sell this and if so to whom. Pardon just curious and intrigued.

Obsidian does have value, but its quite low. What state did you find it in? I haven't ever found any as I live out east and it's all turned to something else.

Obsidian sells quite well as part of the online crystal collector/alternative healing trade, $5-$10 or so for a typical sample, although the market seems to be saturated so it may take some time to find a buyer.

That core from Guatemala is the real deal. Blades were struck off of that core. From the scars that are left behind I’d say that knapper knew what he was doing.
