By the looks of it they are allowed to do any and all digging and blasting they want. So why not go back to where they found the gold pieces and truly dig into that area and see what is there and where all those tunnels go...

This is reality tv. Not everything is filmed at the ranch or even in that state. You don't really think the gold bars were found in that old mine.

All I have to go on is what they show me on the show. I don't get to talk to any of them. I'd like to think that if you are a legit treasure/fact finder you wouldn't want to be associated with a tv show that is fake and will ruin your reputation. Granted money talks!!

It was gold but had a lot of other metals in it as they used it to make stuff with and weren't as concerned with it's money value.. That being said I wonder if the gold bars some claim were over in Pikes Peak if they were pure gold or like this and not worth near as much as some think.

If you had a 24 k ring how long would it last without bending out of shape compared to 14 k. Usually gold nuggets are around 80% gold.

I don't remember the numbers but the gold they found were way less then 80% pure gold. So if the Aztec's or whoever were mining and smelting/melting and forming their bars for later use by a craftsman then the value of any bars found are not worth any where's near as much as people think. Same as with Pike Peak gold that was supposedly seen there possibly... Still worth a good bit of money especially now.

Aztec gold intentionally had copper added to it - for decorative reasons. The Aztec like the dull sheen that copper creates when added to gold - so with the boys finding 4 small ingots of gold which DID IN FACT have 25% copper in it, was a good sign that it really was/is Aztec gold. The ingots found I believe were smelted down from it's original state (gold bars) by the Mormons, leaving those 4 ingots left (missed) over.

There are some that have been able to show - either the Aztec came through Arizona and Utah, to trade or temporarily settle in the area. There are two men who've found Aztec artifacts in Arizona (I've seen the photos), but you won't see that printed anywhere in any book or article. Personally, I'm trying to prove out that the Aztec DID in fact reach Arizona and stayed there during a short amount of time. When that actually happened, no one knows or can prove out 100%.
