From the same field as the spanish silver coin (and probably also dating to the 16th century): a large book mount, depicting a crowned lion walking left.

Hi Rudy2003, due to the style, this item (a book mount) can be dated to the late 16th or early 17th century .
 
Keep finding those old items! Wow, that would be a treat to find something that old! ;D
