Boston Mine, CO

Went up hiking around at 12,000 feet in the area of the old Boston Mine. This is above the tree line. Mushrooms seemed to be able to grow here, as I saw two or three different types. (Might be toadstools, too.)

Those are incredible pictures as always. That mushroom is deadly poison, it's an Amanita Muscaria. Some folks use them to broaden their minds.

Thanks for the link, Ron. Like I said, could be a toadstool. I've lived here a while, but the altitude messes up your perception enough. Besides, the way I am normally, would y'all really want me comin on here under the influence of psychoactive toadstools?

That 2nd pic looks like a backdrop was used behind the compressor...so amazingly beautiful it doesn't even look real. Looks like a scene you would have seen on the t.v. show Bonanza.
