Went to work yesterday morning (just got back by the way) and the job site happened to be in the middle a HUGE bottle dump. Bottles, bottles everywhere. I was like a kid in a candy store! The 3 REALLY OLD Coke bottles are my favorites but I also like the cobalt and the black inkwells. The chemist's mortar and pedestal are neat. The Lea and Perrin's bottle has a glass stopper still intact. There is a round bottle that was used on a ship...and the list goes on. Love the cobalt blue, porcelain marble. The little kid figurine still has blond hair and red cheeks and lips and colored eyes. Too bad the arms and legs are missing.
There were literally THOUSANDS of bottles there!!!!! Most of them are from the 1800s.
Of all days to not take my metal detector!!!!! Site is 3 hours away but I definitely hope to go back with my detector to look for other "trash."
