Brand new ACE 250 - lunchtime finds

Got my ACE 250 this morning delivered to my office. The UPS guy said the package was making lots of noise and wanted me to open it ASAP. Somehow the power button was on and it was beeping away - lol! Must have worried the driver. We usually dont get our UPS truck til later in the day - I figure he wanted that thing off his truck so he came here early!

So at lunch I went out to the grassy areas around my building. Immediately found a penny - and my MD actually told me what it was before I dug! (I'm easily amused). My old Bounty Hunter (I got it for Christmas and am addicted to the hobby so I just had to upgrade) just told me what type of metal it was.

So after 30 min... 2 clad pennies, a bolt and 4 crushed cans! Definitely boring stuff, but I HAD to try it out. The pinpoint feature is awesome!!

Ripped my jeans in the brush too, but who cares! I got my new toy for the weekend!

The way mine was packaged was very secure. I bet they left it on when it was packaged at the factory.

Beep 10, beep 9, beep 8...... I'd never make it as ups driver. I think I would have thrown it off the truck and called the bomb squad (at least inthis day and age!).

Great MD, I've only used the Ace 250 a few times, but I think sometime soon i will upgrade from the Bounty Hunter. Amazing features that you won't find on many more expensive brands.

All those first finds are great! When I first got my Ace 250, I stayed excited when it told me what I was about to dig and it really was that most of the time. I don't do much digging in cold weather, but I look at the detector every day, and read everybody's posts to stay jacked up about it.

If your son is helping you dig your coins now and you buy him a ACE 250, get ready to do some serious hunting. If your son really likes finding a`great amount of items, he will do a fine job with the ACE! Don't be surprised if you want to try his new detector. LOL, you might be buying another one for youself.
