Window brace opener thingie... that's the technical term. ::) Or from a boat hatch. Something that could be adjusted in a arc.

Commutator. for anything that revolves and needs electric supplied to it.

like searchlights, old radar towers and carnival rides that spin. wires would twist and break at the first

reveloution.

you would use the brass or bronze commutator on one part and brushes on the other.

a circle of them would usually come in 4 pieces that you would butt together and screw down

to the surface as needed. i will post a pic as soon as i find one.

Are the holes plugged with corrosion?
is the side not shown rounded?
if so, probably a rub rail from boat.
