Here is a great sounding brass whistle, recovered during diving operations and underwater metal detecting in 8 feet of water on the Neuse and Trent Rivers in New Bern, N.C. It is stamped with MADE IN U.S.A. Any thoughts on the age, early to mid 1900s for sure? Since it was found near past boat and port traffic I assume it was from someone on a boat or ship. The loop at the end has corroded off and would have been attached to a chain or other necklace device. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking.
