I know someone out there knows what these are and what they are for. Found on old Illinois farmland where stuff has been found dating to the early 1800s. The one I think may be light related. It has the 4 holes to attach to a wall? Could be hollow but the low end is crushed. The other is a closed hook looking thing. The construction is very interesting. It is brass and has a screw on the bottom. There is a pin through the bottom attached to a thin metal strip on the inside. It looks like it was made in 2 pieces. I don't think it could ever move. Any guesses?

This piece is a check hook off of a harness/driving saddle

The more I look at it, the more I am convinced that this piece is a tack room hook on which a harness or bridle was hung. Check the area well, as there may well be more of these hiding somewhere.

This piece looks like part of a hand-forged door hasp. Perhaps it is off the Tack room door.

The long piece reminds me of a wall-mounted bracket to hold an oil lamp. If so this is the arm without the lamp holder section on the end. They held the heat away from the wall a safe distance. Many of them could pivot; this is stationary. Just guessing. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Creskol! That first hook sure has an odd construction.

That's what we are leaning towards! Thanks!
