Most were in horrible condition.. I must admit how let down I was by seeing these contrast against the copper edges of the other coins... Almost as let down as you were after reading that I didn't find a box full of gold eagles, but I must admit how weird it was to get so many of these guys!... I did pull 1 90%er, and 3 40%ers from those three boxes though... More about that below...

So anyway, went on to do my customer wrapped roll hunt, and decided to hit quarters pretty hard, and got $400 in CWRs. I am glad I did...

That is four silver quarters in one customer wrapped roll! Not bad!

This is what I ended up with after searching all of those quarter rolls:

Not too bad, right? Quarters! Seven!

So I had already searched 3 boxes of halves, and $400 in quarters, $200 in dimes, and I needed to dump some coins to finish up my CWRs before my banks closed at 3:00pm, so I hit up the coin counter for the 4th time that day, and ran to my last two banks.. One had nothing, the other had $250 in halves which I thought was somebody's dump, but it ended up, it was dropped off by an older lady, so I started to get very excited, because old ladies with half dollars, usually means goodies. I patiently await my halves from the vault, and get excited when I see how nasty and old the rolls looked.. Got in the car, only wound up with 4 40%ers, 1 ben. That brought me to 7 40%ers, 2 90%ers for today:

Oh yeah.. forgot to mention, that other 90%er was a 44 walker :)

Not a bad day :) Thanks for reading, and happy hunting!

Wow what a day.. That is great.. Congrats on the awesome finds.

You wish it was gold - Nice work on the quarters.

Nice work... I might aim toward quarters my next road trip... i try to "theme" my road trips by getting most of one denomination... first road trip was pennies, second was dimes, third might be quarters. And of course the usual question, "do you have any half dollars?"

Funny how when you open a roll, you love to see silver but almost hate to see gold.
Seems backwards.
Nice quarter score!

Great day!!I like quarters i found 1 in the coin return at td bank

Nice day ya had there Weasel, very cool score on the Quarters! HH, Maverick.

Not tryng to hijack your thread Weaselbrott, but does anyone here know of anyone that ever found any kind of gold coin in any roll?

There was a thread with 4 people who found one. I know one was a 1 oz. eagle, and another one was an Austrian 1 dukat from 1915. My uncle gave me one this summer, still my most valuable coin. He didn't know it was gold until I told him, he just said keep it.

same here, i've never found a silver quarter in the wild, and i have searched close to, if not more than 10 boxes of quarters over the years.

CWRs are where I find those quarters. Boxes of halves have been iffy lately. The only quarter box I've done was a skunk.

What? no Pirate Money?

I still have not found a single gold plated half.

Great finds on the walker, ben and quarters! looks like you had a heck of a run!

What district are you in? About a month ago I dumped a whole bunch of nifc's and gold plated kens back into circulation.

Nice score weasel. I've been hitting the quarters lately myself. Love to get lucky on them like you did. Good job.
