It means there are worse things that could happen and that life (and CRH) goes on. Also, nothing was said about him being shorted any coins, so therefore he didn't get jipped. If he was shorted coins, I will retract my statement. I didn't read of any "jipping" (if that's a word). There is no guarantee that any rolls will contain silver and there is no guaranteed silver rate per roll. Sure, its bad that someone cut these rolls open to see if there was silver, but if all $500 in halves were there, not much room to complain in my opinion.

no he was not jipped coins, but someone DID open his box and someone DID slit the rolls looking for silver, so in my opinion he got jipped. You have your opinion and I have mine.

My Brinks boxes are always sealed with brown paper tape. Havent run across a problem like yours yet, but anything is bouned to happen.

Sounds like you got someone's dumps. That happened to me at a bank served by Brinks. In fact it happened several times....... so I made the banks served by Brinks my dump banks. All is well now

I have to agree, I got a fresh box on Friday and they were all machine wrapped, they were all 1995. I was laughing and my son found it hilarious. The good thing is, my pennies are averaging 21-22% for the last $20 worth and I did find a war time nickel. $100 in quarters and $100 in dimes were fruitless as well. They are getting put back into the system today.

One funny note, the coin machine stopped in the middle of my half dollar dump and the teller came and changed out a few bags and after that, I got seven halves that bypassed the bag and came out the bottom of the machine - I had to put them back, right?

I'm still breathing and I consider myself lucky - everything else is gravy!
